After years of conducting Link Exchange activity for my business and those of my clients I started noticing the effect this program brought to my clients. This is exactly what we did, realizing that giving time and attention to the type of companies you are contacting and industries you are targeting is imperative to the success of your Link exchange campaign. Many times I have heard that Link Exchanges work on statistics and the more you send the more links you will have.

I am 24 years old now but not long ago I was packing my
hot pink backpack with the gray suede bottom to go off to grammar school.
I was the short smart kid who the teachers always referred to as
"everyone can learn from Candace’s example". To put it simply,
I was not the most popular kid or even close. No matter what I did, the
other kids only talked to me to settle bets about grammar and math. The
most popular girl was having an argument with one of her friends about the
word ‘several’. I was only brought into the conversation to define the
word.
Every year there was a science fair. The top three entries
from every class displayed their projects in the gym and spent the day
explaining their project to the rest of the school. In fourth grade, my
mom and I visited the filtration plant in Chicago and I decide I would
make a filtration system for my project. I built a system that turned
dirty water into clean water. It was not purified water but it looked
cool. On the day of my presentation, I forgot my written report on the
kitchen table. The students and teachers drilled me with questions and I
froze. I answered most of the questions but not with confidence. I took
home second place. I was depressed and went home to cry about my mistake. |
The Science Fair was the next week. I
lugged everything to the gym with my report in hand. I was not about to
forget it again. As the day progressed, more and more kids and parents
came to see the projects. I was scared and terrified that the older kids
would ask me a question I could not answer. Just then my class came and
wanted to see my project. Everyone was amazed that dirty water could be
made clean with some rocks, sand, and a few other accessories. Some of my
classmates brought their older brothers and sisters over to see this magic
trick. Everyone marveled at this. I had a line of people wanting to see my
filtration system work. I had so many people lined up, I ran out of dirty
water. There were more than enough helping hands at my disposal. I
answered all the questions with confidence and was known around school as
"the girl with that cool water project". Even the 8th
Graders knew who I was!
My mom took me to the filtration plant, helped me gather the supplies,
and made sure I understood what I was creating. She even pushed me to do
my best and when it came time for me to share my knowledge, I knew what I
needed to know to make it through this struggle. It was amazing and I will
always remember that Science Fair. Even though I received Second Place, my
project won the hearts of the students, teachers, and parents (especially
my Mom).
