Here's a Morsel to Challenge
Your Gray Matter!

by Susan Sehi-Smith

Turn each pair of words into synonyms (words that mean the same thing). Do this by shifting a single letter from one word to the other, without rearranging the remaining letters.

For example, consider SICK and TROD. Move the“T” from TROD. Put it between the “S” and the “I” of SICK. You get STICK and ROD.

 Now try these:

SINGE        and              LONE

TROUGH     and              STUDY

DAM           and              WEPT

GROVE        and              ROUT

BAWL         and              FRIGHT

The answer will appear in our next newsletter.
