Favorite Toll House Famous Fudge
Spring
brings the promise of warmer days. The kitchen still has a residual chill
from winter, though.
Cooking brings a needed touch of warmth to the kitchen.
Below is the recipe that is a favorite with my husband.

Ingredients:

1/2 c. granulated sugar

2/3
c. nestle carnation evaporated milk

tsp. Butter or margarine

tsp. Salt

c. (4 ounces) miniature marshmallows

1/2 c. (9 ounces) nestle toll house semi-sweet chocolate morsels

1/2
c. chopped pecans or walnuts

1
tsp. Vanilla extract

LINE:
8x8-inch baking pan with foil

COMBINE:
sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in a medium-heavy duty sauce
pan. Bring to a full
rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
- STIR:
stir in marshmallows, morsels, nuts and vanilla extract.
Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted.
Pour into prepared pan; refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil.
Cut into pieces
