The
Kids Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies
My
favorite way to spend cold winter days is to head to the kitchen with my
children to bake a batch of cookies.
Cooking is not only fun, it is a great activity to practice skills
such as following directions, reading, measurement, and telling time.
Below is the recipe that is a favorite with my kids.

2 1/4 c.
all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking
soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. (2
sticks) butter, softened
3/4 c.
granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed
brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
extract
2 eggs
2 c. (12
ounces) Nestle’s® Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 c. chopped
nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Combine flour,
baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.

Beat
butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large
mixer bowl.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Gradually beat in flour mixture.

Stir in morsels and nuts.

Drop by rounded tablespoon onto un-greased baking
sheets.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.

Let stand for 2 minutes;
remove to wire racks to cool completely.
