A Teen Asks:
I want to date this guy, but I am afraid all he wants is
sex. What do I do?
Afraid in Alabama |

Christine is a 15
year-old high school sophomore.
She responds . . .
First off, he should
like you for you. If you don’t want to have a sexual relationship then
he should understand. If all he does is pressure you, then he isn’t
worth your time and he obviously doesn’t care about you or your
feelings. You should never be with a guy who pressures you to do something
that you don’t want to do; you should have enough self-respect.
If you say no, your
mate should understand and if he doesn’t stick around, you know exactly
what he wanted. Sex shouldn’t be forced, it should be for love. Don’t
ever do anything that you don’t want to do. Just because you don’t
have sex, doesn’t make you a loser, if anything it makes you look
smarter and it gives you more self-respect. If people make fun of you
because of that, then they are the weak ones who need some self-respect.
Remember to never put yourself in a situation of low-self esteem. Always
have enough courage to say no when you aren’t ready. |
